Latest News on new Temple land purchase endeavor
HTCC
has signed contract for purchase of a 4.25 acre parcel of land at 7200 South
Potomac (near Arapahoe County Justice Center). This is an excellent site to
build a larger and better temple for our growing community. The site is easily
accessible from I-25 via East Arapahoe Road exit. It is about 3 miles going east
on Arapahoe Road and South on Potomac. The largest concentration of Hindu
community in Rocky Mountain region lives and/or works within a 10-mile radius
from this site. All utilities are close by. The parcel is zoned commercial and
we do not anticipate any problem in getting Special Use approval for building a
Temple and Cultural center now and a Community Center later.
The
cost of the land, $500,000 is very reasonable for that location. The closing
date is set for January 15, 2007.
